Registered Maine guides give their time and talent to teach youth outdoor and recreational skills during M.O.O.S.E. weekends.
Each weekend will have a different focus. By practicing skills like packing a hiking pack, paddling a kayak or canoe, lighting and cooking over a campfire, tying knots, shooting with a bow and even gun safety with air rifles – Campers will leave feeling more confident in their outdoor skills!
M.O.O.S.E. Weekends are for ages 10 and up. Campers are dropped at Lugdon Lodge at 4pm on Friday – The adventure begins by 4:30 and doesn’t stop until campers are picked up on Saturday at 6:00pm. Themes and focus of each weekend will be announced in the weeks leading up to it. Cost for M.O.O.S.E. Weekends are $250 per camper.
BIG M.O.O.S.E. ADVENTURES are for ages 12 and up. These adventures begin Friday morning and go all the way until Monday night! Teen campers will embark on overnight camping expeditions to various locations like Baxter State Park, Deboullie Public Lands, North Maine Woods where they can put their outdoor skills to good use! BIG M.O.O.S.E. ADVENTURES are $450.00 and include all the camping gear, food and transportation from Lugdon Lodge.
